The code for Strike Prices of 305, 405, 505, etc. is A. The code for 310, 410, 510, etc. is B.

Some exchanges may assign a temporary root character of Z. For example DEZ where the actual symbol is DEC. NASDAQ Stocks are somewhat different. NASDAQ stocks only use the first 2 character of the symbol plus a Q. For example Apple Computer's symbol (AAPL) for an option would be AAQ. The Apple September 35 calls would be: AAQIG
