Example: IBM April 200 Calls symbol: IBM04212200

where IBM = SYMBOL

04 = the month of expiration

21 = third saturday of the expiration month

12 = year

200 = strike price

The date is the expiration date which is usually the 3rd saturday of the month for normal options. There are also intermittant options and leaps - you will have to check with your broker for the the exact data of expiration.
