


List Window
The List Window contains:
Daily, Weekly, Monthly Buttons -
These determine which type of symbol you can view (you can only view one at a
time). The default is Daily. To view just weekly symbols in this list, click
on the Weekly button. The same is true for Monthly symbols.
Do Not Update Button -
If you do not want data retrieved for the symbols in the list click on this
item (a dot will appear in front of it). To allow the symbols in the list to be
updated, make sure the item does not have a dot in front of it (see
Columns - There are five columns in the window.
Symbol - This is the number of the symbol highlighted
Visible - This is the number of symbols that are in the daily, weekly or monthly
group within this list.
Selected - This is the number of symbols that are highlighted
Mover - This is the arrows on the lower right side of the window.
Selecting Symbols -
Download Symbol - The symbol used by Trader’s Access to retrieve quotes.
Name - A distinctive group of words to describe what the Download Symbol stands
for.
Symbol Type - This the distinction you made when you added the symbol (stock, index, etc.)
Starting Date - When you added the symbol you designated a date on which you wanted to
begin downloading data (this may have changed from the original entry based on the
amount of data available in the Trader’s Access Database).
Ending Date - This is the last data point in the program for the symbol.
The far left arrow moves you quickly to the first symbol in the list.
The next arrow moves you up one page in the list (i.e. if there are 10 symbols
showing in the current view of the list, clicking on this will move you up to
the previous group of 10 (kind of like page up).
The next arrow moves you one page down in the list (i.e. if there are 10
symbols showing in the current view of the list, clicking on this will move you to
the next group of 10 (kind of like page down).
The far right arrow moves you quickly to the last symbol in the list.
To select one symbol, click anywhere on the line of that symbol.
To select more than one symbol, hold down the CTRL key and highlight the
symbols one at a time.
To drag over many symbols, hold down the SHIFT key and then hold down the
mouse while you drag over the symbols.
