What's Available and When? We have over 120,000 symbols in our database, with Daily, Weekly, and Monthly data. We have Stocks, Indices, Futures (with contract volume and contract open interest or with total volume and total open interest), Mutual Funds, Stock & Index & Future Options, Continuous Futures Contracts (with contract volume and contract open interest or with total volume and total open interest), and Market Statistics (advances/declines, etc.). Internet (B) Service - Historical data is available dating back to January 2, 1990. The current day's data on the internet is available after 4:30 PM Pacific Time. 800 & Internet (A) Services - Most symbols have historical data back to January 2, 1989 (Options and Market Statistics have historical data back to July 1, 1997). You can download 23 hours a day (system is down from 1:00 AM to 2:00 AM Pacific Time), 7 days a week at no additional charge. Current quotes via our 800 service are available as follows (Pacific Time):
Note: We have modified our update times to include the new extended reporting of stocks via NASDAQ. That is why we now import the stock data at 4:15 PM (Pacific time). Note: Because Commodity quotes come from the exchanges in pretty bad shape, we refresh the commodity data the following business morning. Also, because the Commodity exchanges report volume and open interest a day late, we automatically download the corrected commodity quotes and the updated volume and open interest to your Trader's Access program on your next day's 800 or internet (A) service retrieval. You would think that with all the available technology today, the commodity exchanges could send the volume and open internet on the same day -as the prices, the stock markets do it! Note: If we do not have a symbol built into our Build section of the Trade's Access Program, you can probably still get the data for the symbol by just typing in the symbol in the add symbols section of the program. We capture every symbol's data each day as reported by the exchanges. |

Any program(s) that can read ASCII or MetaStock files will work with our service. Trader's Access may be all the Technical Analysis software you need, but exporting to ASCII and/or MetaStock/Computrac files is a mouse click away. Exporting to Omega's Super Charts, Omega's TradeStation, Equis' MetaStock, Nirvana's OmniTrader and other investment programs capable of reading Metastock/Computrac files is accomplished by creating the Metastock/Computrac files from within Trader's Access. The target program can then directly read the created file. You can even set the program to automatically export data to your favorite program automatically (Auto Export) each time you download from the Trader's Access database. As a matter of fact - you can import the symbols already in your MetaStock file(s) (if you have them already setup by another program) and even import the data stored in those MetaStock files. If you do it this way - the program automatically sets up the exporting for you. Lastly - need to edit the data in your MetaStock files, Trader's Access can do it automatically. ASCII - this is one of the most versatile parts of our program - you can set up the fields in any order, set the data format the way you want, export the data to separate files (by symbol or list) or one big file. Also, you can set the field separator to comma, space, or tab. Want the data exported automatically after downloading? Just tell the program to do and it is done. |
