here is what you must do:

you must have our version 2.6a or above - look in the help\about trader's access menu selection

if you do not have v2.6a or above - you can download it from this web site

1) bring up a list
2) go to edit\select all (or at least the symbols that you want exported)
3) go to edit\change\exporting
4) click on "set metastock\ctrac exporting"

5) a directory /files window will show up

6) change the directory to the appropriate one by double clicking on the appropriate directory
7) once in the appropriate directory - click once in the big box under files
8) click on "create/overwrite metastock files in the above directory"
9 click on ok
10) click on ok again (when you are brought back to the Change Exporting Window)
11) click on yes (this will send the data to the metastock files).

repeat this process for each metastock file that you have.

note: if you are sending data from our program to only one metastock master file but have our data in multiple lists - only click on #8 above for the first set of symbols being setup. If you do this for each set of symbols being exported, you will just keep deleting the metastock files and you will only wind up with the last set of symbols being set up.

if you have multiple metastock master files - then repeat the process 1-11 for each metastock master file.

Also, to export the data manually - just click on the big red X icon on the left side of Trader's Access Main Window.

Lastly, we comply to metastock 6.52 format, but, metastock will not give out the format for reading and writing to file #257 to #2000, thus we only can write to the first 256 files per metastock directory.
