Trader's Access Program Fixes/Changes/Modifications:

01/30/2005 - cleaned up some things in transfer menu code - added the reloading of the start up group after restoring, backup and rebuilding. Cleaned up some buttons/windows when in higher resolutions.

01/28/2005 - added the ability to retrieve stock/index option chains - futures chains and stocks to the program - changed the build for stock/index options and futures options - added to settings\communications - download stock/index/fut options chains along with stock symbols - all - also added name as a field for exporting. Added alternate zip and unzip in program for problem computers /ZIP.

10/25/2004 - added 800 to interent password security

07/02/2004 - changed to allow up to 1,000,000 quotes per retrieval

09/24/2003 - 2.6h Fixed bug where stochastics did not show up on data detail in chart view

08/04/2003 - 2.6h Fixed a minor bug in the saving of a chart to disk - program now puts a D as the first character for daily charts, W for weekly, M for mon thly - also - all symbols longer than 8 characters is contracted to 8 charaters for saving to the bmp file

02/12/2001: 2.6g- fixed a bug in interent bulk historical import (i tried to get cute to speed up the importing but ruined the routine - put back things the way they were when it worked properly)

01/30/2001: 2.6g- added commas to volume numbers for display purposes. deleted all trailing spaces in export symbol for ascii axport

08/30/2000: 2.6g- changed zooming in or out in program so that it will stay the same for the next chart displayed. fixed a bug if a symbol was entered with spaces at the end.

06/27/2000: 2.6g- Modified program so that if you have skip 52 week high/low - the program will be much faster - but you can not get automated stock splits if you skip the 52 week high/low. Also, modified the text alignment in the data detail window when a chart is open.

06/25/2000: 2.6g- Modified perpetuate to be more logical. Added the ability to bring up a chart from the data window. Added the ability to bring up the data window from a chart. Added the ability to save the chart to your hard drive (as a bmp file) so that it can be emailed (as an attachment) or imported into other programs

06/20/2000: 2.6g- Added highlighting a section of the chart to zoom in. Hold down shift when moving the mouse. Added get all data for chart when in a chart by holding down the ctrl key and clicking on the chart.

06/18/2000: 2.6g- Added some new defaults for viewing a chart (in defaults\chart style. Cleaned up some minor things for log charting and the graph details window Added the ability to paste a symbol's data on to a chart to create overlays on the fly.

06/16/2000: 2.6g- Added log scalling for the charts in chart view so that you can change on the fly

06/15/2000: 2.6g- Added vertical line on chart for pin pointing the data. Added log scalling for the charts in list view

 

06/10/2000: 2.6f - Added rescale of chart when it is on the screen on the edit menu.

06/06/2000: 2.6f - changed the viewing/not viewing of the volume and or open interest when click on next, previous and smartview so that if will be a default for all symbols in the rotation.

05/26/2000: 2.6f - added zoom in, zoom out, studies and layout buttons to bottom of the chart window. Changed the way the data is displayed in the data details while in the chart. Clicking on a spot shows that date - if you drag with the mouse button down - it works the old way.

05/11/2000: 2.6f - fixed moving futures contracts out to next contract for current symbol's list. fixed logic for manual and auto split if on fridays. fixed 52 week high and low for weekly and monthly data.

04/17/2000: 2.6f - added some better logic for doing stock splits. fixed a minor bug in the manual stock split. added skipping of 52 week calculation to internet (B) import.

04/11/2000: 2.6f - fixed copying to and from the clipboard in list and data windows because of the change in the "popular demand" for the number of decimals to show in these windows. This makes 4 fixed bugs due to this "popular demand".

04/10/2000: 2.6f - due to popular demand - added variable (see settings\defaults\data window) for number of decimal places to show in the list window and the data window which created 2 bugs that have been fixed (1 in test retrieval and 1 in conversion of decimal places for a symbol's data when dispersing the data).

04/07/2000: 2.6f - fixed a bug if you import ascii or clipboard symbols with screwy characters - program now rejects these symbols - modified retrieval in case any of these screwy characters got through the import. - nothing major - took 10 minutes to modify.

04/05/2000: 2.6f - added copy symbols from the list to the clipboard (so you can paste them into other programs) and added paste symbols into list so that you can paste a list of symbols from another program (excel, access, word etc) into the program - format must be symbol (a comma or tab) and you can also have the name of the symbol - if you do not have the name, the program will substitute the symbol as the name.Fixed 1 bug where the sort routine for the list would drop a sortable name from the available fields. Folks - that's it - no more stuff for this 16bit program - i am moving on to the 32bit version - i have put everything i can think of in this program (except for new charting and scanning) The symbol/data manipulation is done, finished, over, the end. I will bet anybody that there are no programs on the market that even compare to mine for symbol/data manipulation. Next, the charting/scanning in the 32bit version - you have all seen what i have done with the symbol/data manipulation - wait till you see what i am going to do with the charting.

04/01/2000: 2.6f - added 52 week high and 52 weel low to list window. added Sub-List to list window for catagorizing and then sorting symbols in a list. Added multiple selections to settings\communications\retrieval (mostly for speed) - reorganized settings\communications. added intellegence to internet retrieval so that if you are already on the internet the program will not try to dial out. added menu selections on view menu for charting percentages rather than prices (like you see on CNBC). fixed a few minor items for column defaults in list view and data view. added pop up menus when right clicking on list, data or chart window. Added splitter on list and data window for stationary horizontal scrolling. Changed build for stocks, mfs, indexes, and canadian stocks so that multiple symbols can be built at the same time with out having to keep clicking on build. Also, program now can perform a stock split (daily stocks only) automatically after downlaoding data from the database (800 or internet (A))

03/01/2000: 2.6e - fixed email bug from internet and fixed options (stock and index and futures) retrieval from internet.

02/27/2000: 2.6e - Added internet downloading from with in the program which makes the internet downloading work exactly like the 800 downloading. Changed mail to TAW mail from 800 Mail (mail works in new internet download also). Auto retrieval, auto export, and auto scanning now work in internet dowloading. Added fundamental data to internet downloading. Added some logic for receive and send mail designation (Green for send mail, red for not read mail and blank for mail has been read). Program downloads split list also and rec service (if applicable) and right time activation/deactivation. Added reretrieve data on the communications menu - this is for retrieving data again just like the previous retrieval - this can be used in the event that data was duplicated from the previous day (this happens sometimes with mutual funds if they are late). This is in place of having to delete the data before downloading the data again.

 

02/10/2000: 2.6c - Made number of decimals in ASCII export a variable between 2 and 6. Added the ability to refresh daily data back up to 999 days - its in settings\communications\retrieval. Fixed a bug in the data window if deleteing data from a data point to the start date.

 

01/25/2000: 2.6b - Added 6 decimal places for all symbols - modified printing for the extra decimal places

01/14/2000: 2.6b - Fixed a metstock file exporting bug when modifying data in our program. Added set a new path for ASCII exporting. Fixed create a folder in the root directory. Fixed data window to show proper date range when selecting a new start or end date to display. Added view the name of the file and path on the ASCII export layout screen. Added the ability to rebuild all metstock files (including master - if it is missing) in a list in files\export\selected\replace all metastock/computrac data. Added volume adjustment to modify data. - unless seomthing major happens that i do not know about - this will be the very last 2.xx version. Next version will be 3.0 - 32bit.

04/23/97 v2.3 - Modified ASCII Export to use the Export Symbol when exporting rather than the download symbol.
v2.3a - Modified MetaStock exporting to work with all MetaStock/Computrac compatible programs, not just MetaStock.

Program no longer deletes the export list when only data has been deleted. Added to ASCII export the ability to

export each symbol to its own specific file (makes importing to some other programs easier and more convenient).

This replaces the ASCII splitter. ASCII splitter has been deleted from the installation disk and is now available

from Technical Support if desired. Also, when exporting data to an ASCII file, multiple symbols in one big file,

the name of the file is now the name of the list from which the symbols came from rather than ASCII.CSV. This way,

the program does not keep overwriting the file.
